The gold here is amazing! We once found 1oz in a day with shovels and a sluice. It can be spotty, but once you find a deposit, it is full of 1-5 gram nuggets. The gold comes from the hydro-pits surrounding the claim.
Driving directions from Nevada City CA:
Get onto CA-49 N and continue for 21.3 mi
Turn left onto Camptonville Rd/Old Camptonvillle Rd/Old Toll Rd. Go about 85 ft and take the middle road. There are 3 roads here. You will take Pendola RD
Go 0.8 mi, and a few hundred feet after the bridge crossing, there is a pull-out on the left. Find the trail down to the creek and continue down the creek until on the claim. Use the map and GPS provided to understand the boundaries.
As of right now, there are no signs up on the claim. We will add some very soon so it is easier to understand. Thank you for your patience.
